How land-rich, cash-poor faith groups are creating affordable housing – CBS This Morning – November 24, 2018
Churches and other faith communities across the country have started to realize they could change their footprint. Especially in urban areas, where land is expensive and rare. CBS This Morning aired a story highlighting these opportunities. The story, which aired on Saturday, November 24, highlighted examples in Arlington, VA and the DC Metro area.
When APAH’s new Gilliam Place opens in 2019, it will be another example of “church leaders looking for a new way to fulfill their mission to take advantage and be good stewards of the land and property they own, and (for) a way to be relevant to their communities,” as you’ll hear our president and CEO, Nina Janopaul say in the story.
