| Arlington, VA (September 6, 2007)— Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH), a leading non-profit developer of affordable housing in Arlington, Virginia, today announced that James A. Pritchett has joined the organization as Director of Real Estate Development.
“We are very pleased that Jim has agreed to join our staff and to direct APAH’s real estate development efforts,” said Nina Janopaul, APAH’s Executive Director. “Jim brings not only a strong background in housing, but also a deep commitment to the organization’s non-profit mission. We look forward to expanding our ability to bring more affordable homes to Arlington with Jim’s help.”
Mr. Pritchett has over 25 years experience in non-profit housing development, including 16 years with The Arc of North Carolina. Prior to joining APAH, he was Vice-President of Housing Development at Community Housing Partners Corporation (CHPC) in Richmond, Virginia. During his tenure with CHPC, he ramped up acquisition efforts that resulted in that organization’s entry into North Carolina and Kentucky markets. More than 1,000 units of affordable housing were acquired and/or redeveloped during his stay at CHPC.
Pritchett is looking forward to his new challenge. “This organization has a great history in Arlington County,” he said. “I am pleased and honored to be joining the APAH staff and
working with the APAH Board as we move forward in continuing to address affordable housing needs in Arlington.”
